Shawn Ashmore Stars in Crime Thriller Darkness Falls (out June 12th)

Darkness Falls is an upcoming crime thriller, from director Julien Seri ("A Sun So Bright"). Starring Shawn Ashmore (Frozen, 2010) as a detective, this title was shot in Belgium. To show on June 12th, the film's story involves a detective's search for his wife's killer. Det. Anderson (Ashmore) believes her suicide was a cover for something more sinister. This release also stars: Gary Cole (Office Space), Richard Harmon and Lin Shaye. A trailer and poster were released for this film last week; both promotional items can be found here.

The official synopsis also mentions a father-and-son serial killer team. This duo has been killing women and making each death look like a suicide, over a number of years. Now, someone has seen through their diabolical deeds.

Vertical Entertainment will distribute Darkness Falls across the United States. On June 12th, this title will be available on the following platforms: iTunes, Amazon, Apple TV, Google Play and FandangoNow.
