The Superdeep Drills to the Depths of Hell in this Trailer

Taglight "No Light. No Salvation."

The Superdeep is a Russian film. From Murmansk, this film takes place at the Kola Superdeep Borehole. Here, scientists have drilled so far down, that they have reached the depths of Hell. Now, trapped souls are emerging from twelve kilometres below ground. And, those who come up have been changed forever. The first trailer for Roman Karimov's The Superdeep is a good one and is found below. To star Artyom Tsukanov (Black Lightning), The Superdeep is expected to release in the country in which it was shot, Russia, this September.

The Superdeep trailer stands out for a few reasons. The premise is horrifying alone. But, the images also show characters transformed into something strange. Utilizing practical effects, the characters (from the hole) become more and more nightmarish as the trailer plays on.

This film is based on an urban legend. From the '80s, it was believed that tormented souls could be heard on microphones, from the burrowed hole. Supposedly, several scientists committed themselves to Christianity, after hearing screams - from the audio. Though, these myths have mostly been debunked.

Fans of horror can view the trailer below. There are no current plans to bring the film to North America. Though, Russia will debut this title on September 17th, 2020. All of the available details on The Superdeep are here.
