An Eight Legged Horror Emerges Tonight with Micah Gallo's Itsy Bitsy: Release Details

Itsy Bitsy is a horror film with lots of spiders. Developed by first time feature film director Micah Gallo, this title involves a single mother and a move to small guesthouse. Inside the new home, Kara must look after an aging antiquities collector, Walter. Once an ancient artifact is found, this family is put in jeopardy. Itsy Bitsy centrally stars Elizabeth Roberts as Kara, along with Bruce Davison (Along Came the Devil), Chloe Perrin and Treva Etienne. The film is out now and the latest release details are hosted here.

Recently, director Gallo has been interviewed on this title. Developed from a Kickstarter campaign, Gallo also mentions his influences for the film: "[its] something like Jaws with edgy character drama. Kind of like The Exorcist. But really, if you're familiar with something like Q the Winged Serpent or Of Unknown Origin (Movieweb)." This filmmaker knows his horror films. Gallo also studied spiders extensively for the film and he wanted to give viewers a close-up look at these eight-legged monsters: "it was important to us...that the creature itself behaves that we be true to what's really frightening about a spider." Horror film fans can see the spider up close and personal, with the film's trailer. ANd, Itsy Bitsy promises to be a test for arachnophobes.

Itsy Bitsy will be released today. The film will be available, across the United States, on Digital platforms. As well, this title will show in several theatres on September 30th. Cities already set to show the film include: Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas and many more; a full list of showings is available at the Shout Studios' website, found below. Finally, this title will show on DVD and Blu-ray on October 1st, via Shout! Factory. There will be lots of ways to see this hairy-legged creature feature throughout the year.
