Elizabeth Harvest Reveals a Secret this November on Digital Platforms

Elizabeth Harvest, a film from Venezuelan filmmaker Sebastian Gutierrez (Hotel Noir), is gearing up for a home entertainment release. LevelFilm will handle this indie horror film's Digital launch, while Shout Factory delivers the DVD and Blu-ray. Already having premiered at the SXSW Film Festival earlier this year, Elizabeth Harvest offers mystery as one woman (Abbey Lee) explores her new home. Somewhat reminiscent of Alex Garland's Ex Machina (2015), the film's central character questions her husband's (Ciarán Hinds) work. More release details, on Elizabeth Harvest, are hosted here.

The trailer offers forbidden fruit. Elizabeth is told not to enter one room, in her modern home. Curious, Elizabeth investigates the chamber, once her husband leaves. But, what is inside?

An early review, at Cultured Vultures claims the film is unpredictable. Events do not play out as one might expect: "Sebastian Gutierrez... leads you one way then changes direction on a dime." Reviewer Michael Glover also compares Elizabeth Harvest to Ex Machina and mentions the similarities, therein: "while plot-wise very different, the setting, tone and power dynamic of scientist and subject are intrinsically linked to Garland’s [film] of AI and corruption from 2015." Elizabeth Harvest looks to be influenced by another, earlier film.

This indie sci-fi thriller will begin a home entertainment run, this November. On November 13th, the film will be available on Digital throughout the U.S. On December 4th, horror and sci-fi fans can pick up their copy on DVD or Blu-ray. This second release will offer the bonus features: "Making of Elizabeth Harvest," a featurette and a theatrical trailer. The official trailer, for this mysterious thriller, awaits below.
