Leatherface Starts His Killing Spree at an Early Age: A Red Band Trailer

A Red Band trailer for Leatherface has debuted today. Leatherface is a prequel to the pivotal 1974 film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The events in this film piece together Leatherface's earlier life, including his teenage years. The film also involves his escape from a mental hospital and subsequent murder spree. The film was directed by both Alexandre Bustillo (Inside, 2016) and Juien Maury (Among the Living, 2014). Seth M. Sherwood wrote the script. And, horror fans can find the latest on Leatherface here.

More story details have been released, today, as well. Leatherface is committed to a mental hospital, after a mysterious death. Ten years later, he escapes with three other inmates. Leatherface is pursued by authorities and one vengeful father. But, Leatherface is determined to pave a bloody path to Hell.

The trailer is quite revealing. It shows Leatherface's first victim, a young school girl. It also shows the Sawyer family providing a chainsaw as a gift. The mental disturbance only gets worse from there as Leatherface creates his first skin mask. Fans of the macabre can find the latest on Leatherface below.
