The Girl with All the Gifts Spreads the Infection on Blu-ray this April 25th!

Lionsgate home Entertainment will be releasing The Girl with All the Gifts on Blu-ray. The home entertainment release will take place in late April. As well, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will host a Canadian Blu-ray release, in April. The film, from director Colm McCarthy and adapted from Mike Carey's novel, involves a virulent plague and an army unit's attempt to prevent its spread. One young girl may have the cure, or she may just be a Trojan Horse, leading to the destruction of man. This critic saw the film at the Victoria International Film Festival and it is a well crafted thriller, worthy of attention. The official synopsis talks of a fungal disease. Once contracted, it removes free will and turns the infected into flesh eating killers. A group of children are mostly immune to its effects, but research is halted after a horde attacks. One girl might have the cure, if only a group of survivors can transport her to a safer location.

The home entertainment release will host a few extras. A special feature, titled “Unwrap the Secret World of The Girl with All the Gifts” Featurette, will be included. Also, the Blu-ray will be released with a digital and DVD copy. An award winning horror film, The Girl with All the Gifts is one zombie-styled feature which should not be missed.
