Cherry Tree Lane Will Bring a Home Invasion to North America January 29th

Image Entertainment will release Paul Andrew Williams' (The Cottage) Cherry Tree Lane in North America. The release date is January 29th. This film deals with a hostage taking. Several hoods hold a family captive and no one is willing to explain why.

This title has received moderate reviews. Screenjabber says of the film's story: "the story is so clichéd it’s extremely hard to care." Originality seems lacking in the premise. As well, UK Screen talks of the challenges of indie filmmaking: "[Williams] makes another impressive effort to make the most of a clearly low budget." So, the reception for the film has been a mixed bag as seen in these two snippets. Other reviews have been equally ambivalent.
