Children of Sorrow Grabs a Duo of Awards at the 6th Annual Shockfest Film Festival

The indie thriller Children of Sorrow continues its awards sweep at the Shockfest Film Festival (2012). Children of Sorrow won Best Picture and Best Actor (Bill Oberst Jr.). This thriller, that features a cult and its maniacal leader, has also won awards at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival (Best Feature, Best Acting). Currently, Children of Sorrow is in distribution negotiations and a release date for this title will be announced shortly.

Actor Bill Oberst Jr. might be best known, outside of acting ability, for partaking in over 75 murders in his various films. Oberst has eviscerated, disemboweled, and hacksawed through these characters in films such as Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies, and Scary or Die. A graphic (seen below) documents some of the forms of murder that this actor has portrayed onscreen; the methods are gruesome and numerous.
