Robin Hardy Offers Up Blood Sacrifice in this Teaser for The Wicker Tree

Director Robin Hardy is attempting to bring back Pagan mythology single-handedly with his new film The Wicker Tree. Touted as a companion piece to The Wicker Man (Shock), The Wicker Tree will take place in the Scottish Highlands and focus in on two devoutly Catholic worshipers. These two preachers of God will soon find out why blood sacrifices are a much more exciting avenue for spiritual expression rather than mere praying. This latest film from Hardy is based on his novel "Cowboys for Christ" and fans of the film can find the first teaser inside.

The synopsis for the film here:

"The Wicker Tree...tells the story of a Texas pop star called Beth and her cowboy boyfriend Steve. They are initially met with abuse but are overjoyed when the mysterious Sir Lachlan Morrison and his wife invite them into their inner circle. Soon the couple realize that this supposed friendship is actually a façade and that they are in mortal danger from a murderous Celtic pagan community" (Film Shaft).

Release Date: 2010.
