Mesrine: Killer Instinct Turns Real Life in to Death with this First Trailer

Mesrine: Killer Instinct is part one of two films, with Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 the second film. Both films are being directed by Jean-Francois Richet and over the years there have been at least three other films on this real-life, career criminal. Mesrine served in the colonial war in Algeria and would later go on to rob several banks within France and other countries. His notoriety reached a pinnacle in the '70s and now a biopic account of his life will be shown in North America theatres August 13th (limited theatrical release). The synopsis for the film here:

"Mesrine: Killer Instinct introduces us to Jacques Mesrine (Vincent Cassel), a loyal son and dedicated soldier back home and living with his parents after serving in the Algerian War. Soon he is seduced by the neon glamour of sixties Paris and the easy money it presents. Mentored by Guido (Gerald Depardieu), Mesrine turns his back on middle class law-abiding and soon moves swiftly up the criminal ladder. After pulling off an audacious heist he and his lover Jeanne (Cecile de France) flee to Canada where the opportunity of one big payout lures him out of hiding and propels his towards international notoriety" (Trailer).
