The Experiment Shows Man's Brutal Treatment of Man in this Trailer

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be releasing Paul Scheuring's interpretation of the Zimbardo Prison Experiment September 21st on DVD. The Experiment is loosely based on a psychological test performed by Dr. Zimbardo at Stanford University in which students were put in to the roles of either prison guards or prisoners. Psychological concepts like social norms, social roles, prejudice, stereotyping, dehumanization, social comparison and many more influenced the test and created for a miserable time for the prisoners (these concepts will not be defined here, but can be found at the Psychology resource listed below). This film has had a limited theatrical release through Columbia Pictures and in celebration of the DVD release a trailer is now available for The Experiment. More details on the picture are below.

A synopsis for The Experiment here:

"26 men are chosen to act the roles of guards and prisoners in a psychological study. Values are tested and lines are crossed when seemingly normal participants are pushed to the breaking point as the experiment spirals out of control" (28DLA).
