Cyrus to Release Late 2009

A Moonstone Entertainment production Cyrus has been picked up by distributors and a release date, for 2009, will be coming shortly. Cyrus was made for a modest budget of between one to three million and the film stars Lance Henriksen, as the friend of a cannibal farmer. A horror film that knows how to use darkly lit sets and eerie music to amp up the tension, Cyrus now has a full trailer, which can be seen below. Check out the cast and crew for the flick, as well.

A synopsis for Cyrus here:

"Inspired by a true story, a small independent news crew, made up of reporter Maria Consolo and her camera man Tom, investigates a series of unexplained disappearances in a small Midwestern county. The story leads them to the isolated town of Arkham Heights, where they find themselves interviewing Emmett who possesses an all too intimate knowledge of the details of "The County Line Cannibal" - Cyrus. As Emmett inter-weaves the macabre life tale of the most prolific serial killer in the history of the United States with the story of Cyrus' last three victims, Maria comes closer and closer to the greatest story of her life - or what's left of it.

Filled with reenacted documentary footage of forensic experts, serial killers, police authorities and survivors. Cyrus presents a simultaneously beautiful and horrific examination of the destructive nature of cause and effect leading to the creation of a serial killer (AFM)."

Release Date: 2009.

Director: Mark Vadik.
