After Dark Horrorfest 8 Films to Die for in 2009 Slaughters Movie Audiences






Staying with the "After Dark Films: 8 Films to Die For," gore and blood theme, the film "Slaughter," is another addition to the film festival in 2009. "Slaughter," tells a story about cruelty and abuse in many forms and is from amateur horror writer/director Stewart Hopewell (Horror).

Some background on "Slaughter," writer and director Stewart Hopewell...

Earning his Master of Fine Arts at the Florida State University Conservatory of Motion Picture Arts in Tallahassee, Florida, Stewart Hopewell went on to direct three films; "3am," "Misfortune," and "Slaughter." These three films, although original revolve around themes of psychological terror and horror. "Slaughter," is Hopewell's first feature length film and with a Best Student Short award for "3am," already under his belt this latest film is sure to be rich in writing (Internet).

Faith leaves her abusive relationship for the simple life on a slaughterhouse and farm. Here Faith finds a sexy, new friend with the name Lola who has a taste for dating older men. Each man that Lola meets disappears into the unknown and Faith slowly comes to believe that the father and brother of Lola might be serial-killers (Horror).

Faith is determined to save herself and Lola, but sometimes people cannot escape their pasts...(Horror).

Rating: Restricted.

Starring: Antonia Bernath, Lucy Holt, Craig Robert Young, Amy Shiels, Maxim Knight, C. J. Singer, Vance Daniels, and Cristi Hogas.

"Slaughter," is making its premiere at the "After Dark Films," festival in 2009 and with the success of his earlier work Stewart Hopewell might dazzle movies audiences with this psychological thriller. The story sounds excellent and with the addition of a slaughterhouse in the story this film is sure to offer lots of blood and gore.
