Dead Snow a Chilling Comedy from Norway

A group of young kids head out into the Norwegian wilderness for some Winter sports, relaxation, and fun. At a rundown cabin a man tells the story of German Nazis and their operations in the surrounding area. What this wisened old man does not tell this group of friends is that German experiments took place in the mountains, which gave certain German officers the gift of eternal life (Horror).

Later, that same night a monstrous creature is seen outside the cabin peering in at a lovestruck couple. A Winter vacation turns into a living nightmare as hundreds of undead soldiers rise from an early thaw to reek havoc on the inhabitants of this once quiet resort (Horror).

See what happens when several hundred Nazi zombies go wild in the Norwegan countryside...(Horror)

Rating: Likely a restricted rating for blood, gore, and sexuality.

Starring: Ane Dahl Torp, Jenny Skavlan, Bjorn Sundquist, Charlotte Frogner, Stig Frode Henriksen, Jeppe Laursen, Evy Kasseth Rosten, Lasse Valdal, and Vegar Hoel.

Release Date: January 9, 2009.

Director: Tommy Wirkola.

Writer: Stig Frode Henriksen, and Tommy Wirkola.

"Dead Snow," is one of the entries in the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and writer Tommy Wirkola knows how to have fun with his movies. Wirkola is also the creative force behind "Kil Buljo: The Movie," a parody of the Kill Bill films and from the trailer is looks like "Dead Snow," will be a satire on the zombie genre horror flicks (Horror).

A January 9, 2009 Norwegian release date means that this film will take some time before it reaches North American audiences, however this film looks and feels like a fun horror comedy and worth the wait. Will post a North American release date when available.
