Unearthed Films to Release Ryan Nicholson's Slasher Feature Famine on Blu-ray this December 17th

Ryan Nicholson's film Famine will be released by Unearthed Films. Just before Nicholson's early death this year, this make-up artist and director turned over his remaining films to this distributor. The first film to be released from Nicholson's catalog is this high school set thriller, in which a killer stalks a group of students. This feature shows some of Nicholson's talent in the gore department, with all of the effects being practical. This is a truly disturbing release for fan's of indie horror.

The film begins with a 24 hour famine. Taking place two years after a tragedy, someone unexpected has turned up to the fundraiser. Now, the participants are being stalked in the school's halls and rooms.

Unearthed Films has revealed some of the details of the Blu-ray release. For the first time on Blu-ray, the latest home entertainment release, for Famine, will take place this December 17th. The Blu-ray release will host a still gallery and various trailers; Nicholson also provides a commentary on the title. Truly a slasher film, this is a film for gorehounds. Finally, Unearthed Films plans to release more of Nicholson's catalogue, including the previously unreleased Big F*cking Monster and Gutterballs 2. More details on Famine are below.
