Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Releases Two Television Spots: "Big Toe" and "Jangly Man"

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is an upcoming horror anthology. Directed by Norwegian director Andre Ovredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe) two television spots, for the film, debuted at this past Superbowl Sunday. The two tv spots, titled "Big Toe" and "Jangly Man" show various scenarios, involving strange monsters and ghasts in the dark. Famous horror director Guillermo del Toro has produced the anthology. And, scriptwriters have included: Dan and Kevin Hageman (Hotel Transylvania), John August, Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Horror fans can check out the two short clips below.

As well, poster artwork for this project was released this past week. The graphic shows a see-through scarecrow, with a haunted farmhouse in the background. From the book, this is the character Harold. Harold is a monster from the third book, written by Alvin Schwartz. The poster offers an early look at a terrifying film.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark will release this Summer. On August 9th, 2019, this film will see theatres across North America. CBS Films and Lionsgate will handle the launch. And, viewers can preview the film below, with two of the better tv spots to come out this month.
