The upcoming horror thriller Escape Room should not be mixed-up with other films. This version, from director Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan), should not be confused with Peter Duke's film, of the same name, nor Will Wernick's Escape Room. Besides the unoriginal title, Escape Room (2019) brings six characters together, in a trap filled room. As the temperature heats up, the characters are forced to find solutions to more and more complex puzzles. Escape Room was written by Bragi F. Shut (Season of the Witch, 2011) and Maria Melnik. As well, the cast consists of: Tyler Labine (Tucker and Dale vs Evil), Deborah Ann Woll and Taylor Russell. The film's first sweat drenched trailer is hosted here.
Recently, the film's theatrical release date has been changed. Originally, this title was set to show on February 1st. Now, Escape Room will show, in theatres, this January 4th. Home entertainment release details have not been announced, yet.
Also, plot details have not officially been released for this title. However, the trailer shows some of the film's story. The (surviving) characters are connected through another character's surgery, or hospital stay. Other plot details are obscure.
