47 Meters Down: The Next Chapter Puts More Chum in the Water with this First Teaser Trailer

The popularity of shark movies is being seen this week, with the release of The Meg. Meanwhile, Sharknado is moving into its sixth iteration as The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. Sharks are big - in person and on the screen. Now, Entertainment Studios is getting into the water, with 47 Meters Down: The Next Chapter. This is a sequel to the earlier, 47 Meters Down (2017), starring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt. This time - in 47 Meters Down: The Next Chapter, events take place in Brazil. A group of backpackers are set to explore an underwater city and a series of submerged caves. Unfortunately, a frenzy of sharks is waiting for them, below. The clip reveals very little of the cast. However, viewers will see a recognizable toothy grin, just below the surface. Safety can only be found on the boat. And, 47 Meters Down: The Next Chapter promises more blood-in-the-water!

This sequel will release in the Summer of 2019. Entertainment Studios will be bringing this feature to theatres, in June. Entertainment Studios exec' Byron Allen said of this shark film and others: "we’d never really seen a shark movie do poorly, so I felt good about it (the sequel)."
