Sci-fi Thriller Tau Turns One Character into a Lab Rat within this First Trailer

Tau is an upcoming sci-fi thriller. To show on Netflix, later this month, Tau involves a kidnapping and some deadly artificial intelligence. This title moved into development back in 2016. Casting was announced shortly after that. In the film, actress Maika Monroe (It Follows) plays the protagonist Julia, trapped within a technologically enhanced home. Renowned actor Gary Oldman (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) voices the sadistic computer A.I. Ed Skrein, Fiston Barek and Ivana Zivkovic also star. This film's first trailer was just released and it shows an assortment of super-intelligent robots and programs.

Tau is a co-production. Rhea Films came on board back in 2016, along with the Hercules Film Fund. Producers include: David S. Goyer (Blade, 1998), Kevin Turen and several others. This team has created one of the more visually stunning sci-fi features, in awhile.

Story details are expanded on within the trailer. From the synopsis, Julia has been abducted by a programming genius, Alex (Skrein). Held captive, she is tasked with escape from a computer controlled home. Like a rat in a maze, there is a way out. But, every turn is deadly.
