Once Summoned a Pyewacket Cannot Be Dispelled: First Trailer and World Premiere Details

A trailer for Pyewacket has released this week. The film, which was shot in Canada, involves a conflict between a mother and daughter. When Leah turns to the occult for help, the results are bloody. Pyewacket centrally stars Laurie Holden ("The Walking Dead") and Nicole Muñoz. As well, the film is slated for a World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival; a release date is coming soon. For now, fans of indie horror and thrillers can find the first trailer for Pyewacket here, courtesy of the UHM.

The film's synopsis is quite short. However, the trailer reveals more. In the story, Leah turns to witchcraft, to kill her mother. She wants revenge, after harsh words are exchanged. But, Leah goes to far and loses control of her demonic creation.

This is Adam MacDonald's second feature film. He also directed Backcountry, in 2014. More details on Pyewacket will be posted, once a release date has been announced.
