Viewers Can Enter a Dreamscape with this Reality Bending Trailer for Woodshock

A few details are emerging for Kate and Laura Mulleavy's Woodshock. The film is a bit of a genre bender as one woman (Kirsten Dunst) enters a dreamscape, through drug use. The film also stars Pilou Asbaek and Joe Cole. As well, the first poster for the film was released earlier this week. And now, the first trailer for Woodshock is hosted here. The clip develops the film's visual style, but not the plot. Both promotional items can be found here.

One scene in the film shows protagonist Theresa dealing with an aging mother. Meanwhile, the official synopsis talks of a "fractured emotional state" and a "reality-altering...cannabinoid drug." More descending mind trip than plot focused thriller, Wakewood's trailer is difficult to describe.

Though, Woodshock shows some similarities to Romain Basset's Horesehead (2014). Both films deal with a strong drug and the visual hallucinations they can cause. Also, both films rely heavily on visual style, versus a structured narrative. It looks like Woodshock will be more of an experiential film outing, rather than linear tale; this may polarize viewers. More details on Woodshock are available below.
