The Survivalist has a Few Uninvited Guests, Some in Sheep's Clothing: Release Details

Director Stephen Fingleton's The Survivalist is being distributed, via IFC Films. The film will see several theatres, while simultaneously showing through Video-on-demand; the launch begins in mid-May. In this Irish shot feature, one man has lived alone for seven years. Then, two women enter his farm, like the serpent in the garden. Soon, the survivalist's own life is in danger, when even more people enter the area. The film centrally stars: Martin McCann (Clash of the Titans), Mia Goth (The Tunnel) and Olwen Fouéré. The US release details for The Survivalist are hosted here.

The trailer reveals more of the story. The survivalist uses traps and camouflage, in an attempt to hide his farm. Kathryn (Fouéré) and Milja (Goth) discover it anyway and they come to agreement over trade. But, the survivalist puts his life on the line, when Milja is kidnapped.

The material definitely has a post-apocalyptic vibe. All of the characters look downtrodden, like they have survived something. And, the rules and laws have been forgotten as survivor groups take what they want. Could you survive in such a difficult time and place? You can decide when the film releases on May 19th, 2017. All of the available details for The Survivalist are below.

Release Date: May 19th, 2017 (VOD, Theatrical).
