The Blackburn Asylum is Set to Scorch Canadian Screens Through Video-on-demand

Director Lauro Chartrand and writer Nastasha Baron's Blackburn is hitting Canadian markets. Renamed The Blackburn Asylum, this title is already available on a couple of Video-on-demand platforms (Shaw-on-demand & iTunes). It is set to see even more on December 13th. The film, shot on Britannia Beach, British Columbia, is a multi-genred release. The story involves an old asylum and dangerous characters who still live there. The film centrally stars: Jen and Sylvia Soska, Lochlyn Munro (Poker Night), Emilie Ullerup (A Little Bit Zombie), Sarah Lind and Calum Worthy. From viewing and reviewing the film, The Blackburn Asylum utilizes natural and unnatural elements. A rock slide and a forest fire force several friends into an old mental health hospital. Once inside, the remnants of the asylum emerge from the darkness. Full of action and tense situations, this is one horror film that should not be missed.

The Blackburn Asylum will be available on a variety of video-on-demand platforms. The film is already available on iTunes and Shaw-on-demand.
