The Shallows Gets a Longer, Toothier Second Trailer

Gone are the days of "less is more." Instead of keeping conflicts and character deaths behind the curtain, the second trailer for The Shallows shows almost everything. Shot in Australia, this latest clip shows more of actress Blake Lively (The Town) as Nancy as she struggles to survive a shark attack. The film is set for theatres this Summer, via Sony Pictures. And, fans of thrillers can see a whole lot more from the film here.

The official synopsis talks about a secluded beach and the amazing waves there. Quickly, this paradise is turned into a killing zone, with a great white shark appearing near the shore. Now, Nancy must find a way to get back to the beach, which is just 200 yards away.

The latest trailer is double the size of the last. At two and a half minutes, the clip shows characters being torn apart. It also shows more of Nancy's relationships and her reason for being in this remote locale. A good example of foreshadowing, the clip also displays Nancy biting into a blood-red apple. The second trailer, while revealing, will get this film fan into theatres on June 29th.

Release DateL June 29th, 2016 (Theatrical).

Director: Jaume Collet-Serra.

Writer: Anthony Jaswinski.
