Decay Brings a Real Life Serial Killer to Screen - But Who?

Decay is an upcoming horror film from director Joseph Wartnerchaney. The film was recently completed and it is set to show at the Denver Film Festival, in just a couple days. Here, it will likely have its World Premiere. In the film, an isolated groundskeeper has a mishap with a local girl. He does not report the accident and instead, he keeps her body in his basement, for safe keeping. A teaser trailer was released for this film, recently; it can be found below, along with a longer, official trailer.

Jonathan (Rob Zabrecky) is the focal point of the film. His main hobby is taxidermy. And, a young girl breaks into his house to see his trophies. But, her visit is a one-way trip as Jonathan captures her in his home. Now, Jonathan has a larger specimen for his collection.

The film is supposedly based on a "true story." However, the filmmakers have not provided information on who Jonathan might actually be. Though, serial killer Charles Albright was also a taxidermist. He was also subjected to an over-protective mother. That over-protective mother can be seen in the second trailer, hosted below. Indie horror film fans can conjecture on who Jonathan might have been in real life, with the available details, on Decay, below.

Release Date: November 7th, 2015 (Limited Showing).

Director/writer: Joseph Wartnerchaney.
