An Unlikely Killer in this Trailer for Varsity Blood

Jake Helgren's first feature as director is the indie title Varsity Blood. The film is a slasher feature, which focuses on a group of friends and an isolated farmhouse. Helgren's feature will release through RLJ Entertainment, this summer (August 19th, 2014) and a trailer for the film is available here.

The story is fairly straightforward. Several friends begin to party on the outskirts of town. The local mascot shows up, axe in hand and this group of friends is now on the chopping block.

The trailer for Varsity Blood shows the homicidal mascot. Dressed in full regalia, the Native American mascot lays waste to several high-schoolers. The bloodspray is plentiful and fans of horror can view the clip below.
