Megatopia Films is Set to Fly High with Artificial Horizon

Tagline: "Air Travel Just Got Safer."

A few details are emerging for Megatopia Films' Artificial Horizon. This indie feature recently secured funding to put the film into pre-production, via a Kickstarter campaign. This sci-fi thriller involves a global pandemic, caused by bacteria which is resistant to antibiotics. And, the film will begin shooting in late 2013. Cast and crew are still being secured.

To expand, Artificial Horizon focuses on eight survivors. They are flying high in a 747, but what lies below? A plague is running rampant and if the survivors land, they will then be exposed to the virus.

A concept poster for the film has been released (above). The graphic suggests that the film will incorporate zombies or zombie like antagonists. Overall, the film brings together several exciting elements and it will be interesting to see what director Anthony Woodley (Outpost 11) has cooked up next.
