Director Nick Lyon returns to the zombie horror genre with Rise of the Zombies! Lyon also produced Zombie Apocalypse (2011) for production company The Asylum. Zombie Apocalypse turned out to be a decent film that was action focused and tense.
The first trailer for Rise of Zombies appears to be equally tense. In the clip, a group of survivors hold up at the Alcatraz Prison in the wake of an undead pandemic. Their life is peaceful for only so long, however. Soon, the zombies are at their cell doors and they have to evacuate to the mainland or die. Have a look at the exciting clip below.
