"The Vampire Diaries:" CW's Most Popular Show (DVD/Blu-Ray Aug. 30th)

"The Vampire Diaries" is continuing to astound critics and horror fans, as plans for a Seas. 3 release begin September 15th. This television series, shown at the CW, has met and exceeded expectations by incorporating complex relationships, the supernatural and, of course, vampires! "The Vampire Diaries" initial episode was the biggest premiere for the CW, since the network's inception and the show continues to build momentum based on critics' reviews and over 5 million viewers.

Now, Warner Home Video is bringing Seas. 2 of the show to DVD and Blu-Ray August 30th. Seas. 2 releases more vicious vampires on the scene, while brothers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) continue their sibling rivalry. Elena (Nina Dobrev) creates a source of tension and conflict between the brothers, as this latest season introduces many new elements including werewolves and mysterious connections with the supernatural.
