World War Z is Expected to Shoot the Zombie Apocalypse in Glasgow Scotland!

Generally, 28DLA writers like to stay away from tabloids. But when there are zombies involved, this reviewer, at least, gets drawn to the story, like an undead moth to the flame. The Sunday Mail, a Scottish tabloid slash newspaper, is reporting that Marc Foster's (Stranger than Fiction) World War Z will be shot in several areas around Glasgow. Certain locales will be set to imitate American ones, such as Philadelphia (Mail). As well, production on this feature is expected to bring in $1.5 million pounds for the Scottish economy (Fear). This production is currently searching for zombie extras. So, if you have that undead look, you can head over to Glasgow, Scotland with your resume in rotting hand. A few more trivia tidbits on the production are located below.

The synopsis for World War Z:

"Ten years after the human victory over the world wide Zombie epidemic, referred to as 'World War Z,' Max Brooks scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity" (28DLA).

Release Date: 2014.

Director: Marc Forster.

Writers: Max Brooks, Matthew Michael Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski.

Cast: Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos and Anthony Mackie.

*production is expected to begin in August (Fear).
