E3: The First Cinematic Trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is Revealed for Gaming Fans

Capcom has released a cinematic trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, which releases December 31st, 2011, on the PC, PS3 and X-Box. The events in the game take place in 1998 as a special government operations team tries to uncover the souce of "t-virus outbreak" (Capcom).

The first trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City shows a couple of police officers on the run from a group of Umbrella mercenaries. Doom looms for many of the characters, as a zombie outbreak hampers the movements of the living. Check out the clip below, as the E3 Entertainment Expo continues to preview the best in gaming for 2011 and 2012!

The synopsis for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City:

"It is September 1998 and the action centres once more on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak from the Umbrella facility. With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Hearing of this plan, the US Government dispatches its own special forces to uncover any evidence that exposes the cause of the viral infection and Umbrella’s actions. Players take on the role of an Umbrella Security Services soldier (U.S.S.), competing alone or in four player co-op in a battle against all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City" (Capcom).
