Tales of Infection in this Thrilling Trailer for the Retreat Starring Cillian Murphy

This first trailer for Carl Tibbetts' Retreat firmly sets the film in the genre of psychological thriller, as tales of infection only occur off screen. Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later), Thandie Newton (Vanishing on 7th Street) and Jamie Bell (The Eagle) star, with Murphy unable to escape global pandemics, real or imagined. Murphy starred, of course, in 28 Days Later and here he plays Martin, a man trying to fix his marriage, as another man tries to unravel it with tales of infection. Have a look at the suspenseful trailer below, and prepare for a theatrical release shortly, as Sony Pictures has picked up this title for distribution (Quiet Earth).

The synopsis for the Retreat here:

"A husband and wife rent a remote island cottage while trying to repair their marriage. One day they find a biohazard-suited soldier washed up on the beach, who warns them that everybody on the mainland has been killed by an airborne virus."
