This Vampires Suck Trailer Pokes Fun at the Twilight Series in a Funny Way?

20th Century Fox will release a horror related spoof entitled Vampires Suck. The film will be directed by the notorious Jason Friedberg, who is no stranger to camp. Friedberg has directed Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie and many others. This latest pokes fun at the Twilight series of films in a most unfunny way. A trailer below shows an appearance by a Lady Gaga look-a-like, Alice from from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and sleazy characters from the television series "Jersey Shore." This reviewer dead-panned through the whole thing, but maybe other horror film lovers can find something of worth in this first trailer for the film. Vampires Suck releases August 18th for those in the mood for some twisted comedy.

The synopsis for Vampires Suck:

"Vampires Suck is a comedy about contemporary teen angst and romance movies. Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca’s friends contend with their own romantic issues – all of which collide at the prom" (Trailer).

Release Date: August 18th, 2010.
