Brad Dourif Stars in Horror Shocker Fading of the Cries

Grima Wormtongue (Brad Dourif) returns to the screen in a Ratio Pictures production entitled Fading of the Cries. Dourif plays Mathias, a malevolent evil force who plagues a small farming town. Mathias searches the country abodes for a powerful necklace with magical properties and soon the town's inhabitants are turned in to demons through supernatural trickery. The synopsis for Fading of the Cries here:

"Evil is resurrected in a small town threatening to destroy mankind and the only force that can stop it is a young man wielding a powerful sword.

Jacob (Jordan Matthews ), a young man armed with this deadly sword, saves Sarah (Hallee Hirsh ), a teenage girl, from Mathias (Brad Dourif ), a malevolent evil that has begun plaguing a small farmland town while in search of an ancient necklace that had belonged to Sarah’s Uncle (Thomas Ian Nicholas ).

Jacob sets out to get Sarah home safely, running through streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels, while being pursued by hordes of demonic creatures. Along the way, both come to terms with the demons within themselves - Sarah begins to understand her hatred towards her mother (Elaine Hendrix ) and sister (Mackenzie Rosman ) may be unjustified and Jacob discovers the secrets of his past, realizing the only way to truly defeat the demons is to return to the very place his family was murdered.

This is horror/fantasy and the last fantasy that Dourif did was Lord Of The Rings and had played a bit part of Grima. He gets to play the big bad in this one. That's chilling! I'm so there.

Well said, but this is independent? I was expecting some low budget Romero flick. And small town? I think the description needs a reworking. I almost pissed myself when that creature let her tongue fly out! It looks badass.

From all the cool heros to come out of action horror like Ripley, Alice, Blade, and Dutch I think I found a new one. What's the story behind the Jacob character?
