The Last Exorcism with a Release Date

Lionsgate picked up Cotton, which is now known as The Last Exorcism for at least $16 million (Variety) and the film was produced by horror favourite Eli Roth. The film already has confirmed an August 27th release date and the tale follows Reverend Cotton Marcus on his final exorcism. Things do not go smoothly and soon Marcus is facing the devil himself (Bloody). Have a read of the synopsis from this Daniel Stamm directed film here.

"After a career spent helping the devout through prayer and trickery, Reverend Cotton Marcus (Patrick Fabian) invites a film crew to document his final fraudulent days as an exorcist. Soon his faith is truly tested when a desperate plea from the father of a possessed girl (Ashley Bell) brings him face to face with the devil himself" (Bloody).
