Dark Legacy and Murderous Conspiracies: A Movie Review

Director: John Hankey.

Dark Legacy was a documentary styled feature that was released in late 2008 and then re-released earlier this year. The feature follows the assassination of John F. Kennedy and those who might have actually been responsible for his murder. Director John Hankey uses circumstantial evidence to paint George Bush Sr. as a Nazi conspirator who helped murder JFK, while attempting to illuminate the viewer on other possible conspirators. Overall, Dark Legacy will make viewers re-evaluate their views on this tragic event and possibly inform those with an interest of the abuse of power by government officials.

The synopsis for the film, simply put, involves linking George Bush with CIA assassin Howard Hunt, who Hankey believes organized a group of anti-Castro revolutionaries to assasinate JFK. Some of the evidence is spot on. The fact that JFK is believed to have been shot from behind does not make sense even upon a one time viewing of the video involving the president's death. He was obviously shot in the front of the skull. However, other evidence linking powerful government officials with the murder are, while interesting, less convincing.

This documentary styled film offers a new take on an old topic with the murders of JFK still inconclusive. While George Bush Sr. was in the CIA at time of JFK's murder this is not enough to prove he had a hand in this man's death. However, this is an excellent film for those looking for an outside view of the assassination with plenty more sources of research material available at the film's conclusion.

Overall 7 out of 10 (for being thought-provoking, but linking George Bush Sr. to Nazi financiers comes across as absurd).

*The synopsis for Dark Legacy:

"A thorough, documented, criminal indictment of George Herbert Walker Bush, establishing beyond a reasonable doubt his guilt as a supervisor in the conspiracy to assassinate John F. Kennedy. You must see it to believe that former president George Herbert Walker Bush was connected to the assassination of JFK. Once you see this documentary though there should be no doubt in your mind that it's true. The evidence is overwhelming and as the author of this documentary, John Hankey says, "If we could present this evidence to a jury in Texas, he would pay with his life". Did you know that Daddy Prescott Bush was Hitler's chief banker in the U.S. before 1942? Did you know that George H.W. Bush was in the CIA and in Dallas when Kennedy was killed? This video explores the many connections between George Bush and the Kennedy Assassination and makes a very convincing argument that he was the operational leader of the most important coup in American history" (Amazon).
