Grab a Spear and Go on a Pig Hunt

Pig Hunt wrapped up some film festival coverage in 2009 by attending the Chicago Horror Film Festival and the film has been released already in the United Kingdom, but what of North America? The film, unfortunately, does not have North American distribution yet, despite being completed in 2008 in Boonville California. That is right, an American made horror film has been released in the United Kingdom before North America. How is that for globalization?

In the trailer there is much action, much bumbling, and some good laughs, as a group of rednecks terrorize some city-slickers. Check out the 3000 lb boar below.

The synopsis for Pig Hunt here:

"When John takes his friends to a remote ranch for a wild pig hunt, it seems like a typical guys weekend with guns, despite the presence of John's sexy girlfriend. But as John and his crew trek deeper into the forest, they learn of a legendary, murderous three-thousand pound black boar!

Their pursuit leads them into the muddy landscape of Big Wallow, involving violent and unpredictable rednecks, a machete-toting hippie stranger, and throat-sitting Cult Girls. By the time the pig hunt is done, no one is innocent, or unscathed" (Epic).

Release Date: Unknown.

Director: James Isaac.

Writers: Robert Mailer Anderson, and Zack Anderson.
