Turistas Makes A North American Premiere at the LA Film Festival

"Turistas," not to be confused with John Stockwell's 2006 feature, is from director Alicia Scherson and making an official North American premiere June 18, 2009 at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Including a lone backpacker braving the elements the film explores an intensity through a minimal use of characters. Although, film production was finished in 2008 this very underground thriller now gets a wider audience in this limited theatrical release. Have a look at the sparse details on this one of a kind thriller and all of the LAFF films past the break...

A synopsis for "Turistas," here...

Release Date: June 18, 2009.

Director: Alicia Scherson.

Writer: Alicia Scherson.

Crap! Thanx I have changed the story, but I may have to dump the story entirely as there is no promotional material available on the film.

That's why I said I'd been looking forward to it for a while...because I'd seen it was on DVD.

Weird name for any film huh?
