The Devil's Tomb On Lockdown: Movie Still, Synopsis and Trailer



A film initially known as "Ice 44," and now "The Devil's Tomb," seems to be doing things backwards. Releasing the flick on DVD first on May 26, 2009 "The Devil's Tomb," will then go on to a limited release date in December of the same year. Starring several accomplished actors including Ron Perlman, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ray Winstone, and Henry Rollins, the question comes up, why is "The Devil's Tomb," going straight-to-dvd? The first trailer is available, for this under the radar film, that is finally starting to receive some attention.

The synopsis...

A team of mercenaries under the command of hard-charging war veteran Mack (Gooding Jr.), are contracted by a mysterious CIA operative named Elissa (Cruz) to rescue a scientist (Perlman) working on an archeological discovery deep under the Middle Eastern desert. With the help of a mysterious priest (Rollins), Mack and his team soon discover the true secret of what lies beneath the sands. A secret that has been protected for thousands of years. A secret that is not of this Earth (Internet).

Release Date: May 26 (DVD).

Rating: Restricted for for strong violence/gore, language and brief nudity.

I have liked Ron Perlman ever since "Enemy at the Gates." He dies well in that one. But I found "Hellboy," pretty dumb.

I liked Hellboy but only because I read the comics, his episode of Masters of Horror was amusing too.
