Producers Jon Adams & Mem Ferda Join Director Michael Su for Social Media Horror Title Death Count

A few early plot details are coming out for Michael Su's (Bridge of the Doomed) Death Count. Previously titled Numb3rs, this film involves a sinister executioner, who picks his victims based on how many social media likes they gain, or do not gain. This feature is being developed by productions houses: Mahal Empire and Blaen-Y-Bootleg Films. Also, this title includes a huge gathering of exectuvie producers, including: Jon Adams (Black River), Robert Dujmusic (Lockdown), Wesley Cannon (Bloodthirst) and  Mem Ferda (The Devil's Double) and dozens of others. As well, the cast is comprised of Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Costas Mandylor (Saw IV), Robert LaSardo and Sarah French. All of these crewmembers and cast have come together to make a stylish horror feature for later this year, or 2021.

A concept poster was released for Death Count earlier this year, with the previous title Numb3r5. The graphic provides a clue as to some of the plot points. Characters must perform for viewing audiences as seen in the television screens. If they do not draw enough viewers, their lives are in danger. Meanwhile, the killer watches the audience reaction below, with all of the character's timelines in jeopardy.

Death Count has recently entered post-production. So, a new poster and the first trailer are expected to release soon, once editing and sound design are complete. For now, fans of horror can preview this horror title, which focuses on the power of social media.
