Director Vincent Regan Begins Pre-production Plans for Incarnadine with Producer Mem Ferda and Actors: Iain Glen, Anna Maxwell Martin

A few early details are coming out for Vincent Regan's Incarnadine. Iain Glen ("Game of Thrones") and Anna Maxwell Martin ("The Duke") will star in this first film from Regan, which re-envisions Shakespeare's Macbeth. As well, Mem Ferda will act as associate producer, in a feature about prophecy and betrayal. The term incarnadine means reddish color, often in reference to flesh. And, this film is expected to begin shooting in 2021.

Filming will take place in South Wales. Iain Glen will play Macbeth, tormented by his visions. Meanwhile, Anna Maxwell Martin will play Lady Macbeth, whose life ends tragically. Mainstay Films will produce the film. As well, Regan plans to adapt other classic texts for screen, once Incarnadine is complete.

Finally, Regan has taken the title of his film from a line in Macbeth. The dialogue from the section is: "What hands are here? Hah! They pluck out mine eyes. Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood clean from my hand? No; this my hand will rather the multitudinous seas incarnadine, making the green one red." Finally, more casting details will be announced once pre-production begins shortly.
