Severed Silence is horror film from Almost Normal Productions. This title focuses on Hana (Yancy Butler) and a curse. Once released, this curse threatens to kill her and everyone else in her bloodline. This title was developed by: Kathryn Michelle (Resurrection County), Elizabeta Vidovic ("Hourglass") and produced by Mem Ferda (Pusher). Currently in post-production, a concept poster is available here, ahead of its release date.
Showing the back of Hana and a demon in her hair, this concept poster is almost entirely shown in black and white. The title shows blood red, while the tagline: "the exhumation of a curse" focuses on the principal plotline, in the film. Hana rises from the dirt later this year or into 2021.
The filmmakers have talked about the film. They have said of the story: "Severed Silence sprouted out of our love of the horror genre and our desire to write a compelling story." Anchored in horror, this film will bring the shocks soon. Also, the directors talked about the themes within Severed Silence: "[the film] tackles the complex topics of betrayal, ruthless revenge, desperation, and family secrets..." That is a lot to cover in ninety minutes, with more release details coming up soon.
