Zombie Thriller Blood Quantum Debuts on Shudder Today!

Tagline: "When the Dead Rise Only the Immune Survive."

Blood Quantum is a Canadian shot release. From director Jeff Barnaby (Rhymes with Ghouls), this title is moving to Shudder, today, in various territories. The film stars: Michael Greyeyes ("True Detective"), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Kiowa Gordon and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers. Showing in an unrated format, a Red Band Trailer was release for the film in February. Now, Blood Quantum is available in: Ireland, the U.S. and the United Kingdom. Strangely, this title is not showing on the Canadian version of Shudder. In the film, several Mi'gmaq Tribe members survive a pandemic, slightly worse than the Covid-19. Now, the undead roam the land as the local Mi'gmaq remain immune to infection. Horror fans, in the above territories, can view the film now!

Shudder General Manager Craig Engler has talked about the film and its synchronicity. Engler says of the themes within Blood Quantum: "Blood Quantum’s themes of isolation, fear of contagion, and humanity struggling with the ramifications of a global virus have only grown more relevant." Those in quarantine know these words ring true. And, Blood Quantum takes a look at a world in which Covid-19 is still going strong, two months from now.

Horror or zombie film fans can check out Blood Quantum now. This title is being rolled out throughout the day and should be completely available by mid-day. Those in Canada and other territories will have to wait a bit longer as Shudder sets its timetable to bring the film to a wider audience, soon. As well, the film's Red Band trailer, released in February, is re-hosted below.
