Lionsgate Reveals All with We Summon the Darkness this June 9th!

We Summon the Darkness has already started releasing on home entertainment formats. The film, from director Marc Meyers (My Friend Dahmer) and writer Alan Trezza, focuses on a killing spree, taking part across the U.S. Midwest. However, those behind this mayhem might not be who you expect. We Summon the Darkness has a well-rounded cast and includes: Maddie Hasson ("Impulse"), Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch), Keean Johnson and Johnny Knoxville. The film is slated to release today, in the United Kingdom and in a few formats this June, in the U.S.

The official trailer, from Lionsgate, is a bit revealing. It not only shows the killers, but the clip also shows: plot points, killing methods and parts of the ending. If you are a horror fan and intend to pick this title up, you might want to avoid watching any promotional material.

Signature Entertainment is handling the UK release. Signature will show the film on DVD and Digital, throughout the territories. Meanwhile, Lionsgate will show the film on DVD and Blu-ray this June 9th. A Digital release, for the film, has already taken place in the U.S. Finally, the U.S. DVD and Blu-ray release will not be available in 4K, but will offer the following bonus features: “Envisioning Darkness” Featurette and Commentary with director Marc Meyers and writer Alan Trezza.
