Terror on the High Seas with Harpoon this February 11th

Canadian distributor Black Fawn Distribution will release Harpoon, this February. This title has already released in the United States, through Epic Pictures. The Canadian release will come in a few formats, including a Blu-ray Combo and Blacklist package. In the film, three friends turn on each other - in the high seas. Food and water run out, with dry land nowhere to be seen. After a theatrical run and release on Digital platforms, in Canada, Harpoon will show again in early February.

Harpoon was developed by director Rob Grant. Grant has spoken on the film a number of times. He says of the film's influence: "Harpoon came out of a desperate and angry feeling I was going through at the time. I also felt I had more to say about the nature of friendship, especially toxic friendship, and that’s where it all balloons from (Villain Media)." Almost everyone has experienced a toxic relationship at some point. Grant also mentions how sailing can turn bad quickly: "you can survive that long without food, but without any source of liquid like water, you will disintegrate very quickly." Every person and every character in the film is a just a bottle of water away from dehydration and death. Grant explores some of these dire possibilities in one of this year's most compelling features.

Black Fawn Distribution will launch the Harpoon this February 11th. Collectors can pick up the Blu-ray Combo pack or the very extensive Blacklist VII package. The Blacklist VII release will include a special slipcover, mini lobby cards a VHS sticker and many other extras; a full list is available at the Black Fawn Distribution homepage, found below.
