Portugal's Inner Ghosts Connects to the Dead this January!

Tagline: ‘The key to Hell lies deep within your heart.’

Inner Ghosts is a film from Portugal. Developed by director Paulo Leite, this title involves a medium and her connection with the dead. Inner Ghosts will release in the country, in which it was shot (Jan. 2020). Recently, the film was shown at the Horror-on-Sea Film Festival, in Essex. Centrally starring Celia Williams (Above Suspicion), Elizabeth Bochmann and Iris Cayatte, Uncork'd Entertainment will release this indie horror title in early January. A preview of the film's impending launch is available here.

At the Horror-on-Sea Film Festival, Leite talked about the film's production. Starting with the lighting, Leite said of the film's natural lighting: "we used a lot of candle light on the film. I like shooting in low light (Blazing Minds)." Some of that low lighting can be seen in the trailer, which was released earlier this month. As well, the director experienced one of the difficulties of shooting a film, external noise: "we shot during the night because Lisbon is a noisy city due to construction work. Plus, outside the shooting location, there is a flee market that takes place twice a week. That would hurt our sound in too many ways." The difficulties of shooting, outside of a studio, can throw production into chaos. But, Inner Ghosts still looks like an ambitious indie thriller, based on the promotional material released thus far.

Uncork'd Entertainment has chosen this January for the film's release. On January 7th, Inner Ghosts will be available on DVD, in the U.S. No special features have been announced. Horror fans in other territories, like Canada, will have to wait a bit longer as Inner Ghosts moves to other territories, later in 2020. The trailer, for the film, is below.
