Intrigo: Death of an Author Pieces Together a Complex Puzzle in this First Trailer

Intrigo: Death of an Author is a film from Daniel Alfredson and best selling writer Hakan Nesser. The film is a bit of a mystery as the wife of an author disappears. The mystery around her disappearance is pieced together through a three part trilogy, with Intrigo: Death of an Author the first film. Director Daniel Alfredson has teamed up with Birgitta Bongenhielm to bring the screenplay to the screen. And, the film stars: Ben Kingsley (Gandhi), Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel), Andrew Buchan, and Jeff Fahey. The film's first trailer was released this week and it is a good one as various characters try to piece together this mystery.

Director Alfredson is known for some of his other thrillers. Alfredson has worked on: The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. This Swedish director has completed over twenty films. His latest looks at a possible crime, from the perspectives of several characters.

Intrigo: Death of an Author is set to show this January. On January 17th, the film will show in select theatres and on Digital platforms. Lionsgate will handle the U.S. release.
