Crawl Brings High Waters and Terror to Theatres this July 12th: Early Stills

French director Alexandre Aja is one of the directors behind the French Extreme film movement. This film fan knows him from the very brutal horror film High Tension (2004) and 2006's remake of The Hills Have Eyes. His latest is titled Crawl. Shot in Belgrade Serbia, this film takes place during a Category 5 hurricane. The high winds bring all sort of catastrophe for a young woman, Haley (Kaya Scodelario), and her father. The film also stars: Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan), Ross Anderson and Anson Boon. Recently, several photos have been released for Crawl, each of which can be found here.

The official synopsis mentions alligators and a flooding house. Haley must fight back against the elements as nature takes its toil. Expected to release July 12th, in theatres, a trailer for the film is coming soon.

As well, the early stills show Haley and a few dire situations. In one scene, she is trapped within a house as the waters rise. In another shot, she is forced to move through flood waters. Crawl looks very much like a thriller, with horror infused elements.

Crawl is set to be distributed by Paramount Pictures. On July 12th, this title will show through a wide release. Produced by Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, Crawl promises an exciting time spent with all types of natural horrors.
