Darlin' Resurrects a Familiar Character at this Year's SXSW Film Festival

Darlin' is a sequel to the 2011 film The Woman. In the previous film, the last woman of a crazed clan was captured and confined in a family's home. This original title was directed by Lucky McKee (Tales of Halloween) and starred Pollyanna McIntosh ("The Walking Dead"). This time, McIntosh is helming the sequel, with McKee participating as a producer. Jack Ketchm, writer of the first film, also returns as a producer. And now, a teaser trailer has been released for Darlin' just ahead of the film's World Premiere.

The teaser trailer shows a young girl and a Catholic priest. She has the devil inside her. Meanwhile, not far away, another crazed character is looming in the woods and set to provide a chill.

Darlin' will have its World Premiere tonight, at the SXSW Film Festival. This event takes place every year in Austin, Texas. As well, Darlin' will have three showings during the week. And, this is a Hood River Entertainment production, so expect some of the cast and crew to be in attendance. The teaser trailer awaits below.

World Premiere: March 9th, 2019 (Film Festival).

Director/writer: Pollyanna McIntosh.

Cast: Lauryn Canny, Bryan Batt, Nora-Jane Noone, Cooper Andrews, Pollyanna McIntosh.
