Alien Pregnancy Horror Snatchers Brings the Laughs to this Year's SXSW Film Festival

Snatchers is a horror comedy from the demented minds of Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman. Initially a short film, this title has been expanded to feature length, for audiences in Austin, Texas. In March, this film will show at this year's SXSW Film Festival. And, this title deals with a strange pregnancy, which might have an alien origin. Snatchers stars: Mary Nep (We're Not a Satanic Cult), Mark Sande (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Gabrielle Elyse and JJ Nolan. A new trailer has been released for the film and the clip can be found here.

The SXSW 2019 Midnighters screenings will include ten films. From Richard Bates Jr.'s latest, Tone-Deaf, to the World Premiere of Daniel Isn't Right, this film festival will have lots to show on the big screen. Snatchers will appear on March 12 and host at least three showings. Many of the showings will be available at the Alamo Lamar theatre, with more screening details below. As well, writers Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman will be in attendance to talk about the film.

Snatchers looks like a twist on the alien invasion types of films. This time, the invasion takes place in the womb, with Sara (Nepi) just trying to survive high school. Fans of horror or of comedies can see the film in just a few weeks at this prestigious film festival, while a wider release has not been announced.

Directors/writers: Stephen Cedars, Benji Kleiman.

Cast: Gabrielle Elyse, Mary Nepi, Mark Sande, JJ Nolan, Nick Gomez, Rich Fulcher, Austin Fryberger, Ashley Argota and Amy Landecker.
